he probably used the decouple trick to get the loco free, then coupled it to some RET flat wagons...

Reversed it to the buffer to lose wagons, looped round to reverse the locomotive, and then went to the spot where I took a picture.
I had to use a 6000 shunter to take the wagons to the spot, decouple and then arranged the consist for the photo (coupling a NS2200
locomotive to the RET flat wagons do not work, though). Took an hour in order to prepare for a screenshot!
To be fair though, a 6000 shunter could haul a long line of RET flat wagons no problem, despite the slower speed of around 50 km/h

Done this repaint for the railway network out of Rijndam Noorderpoort (pre-2006)...

However it will be used as a passenger carriage and be hauled by a 6000 Class locomotive.
This car will need a guard on board for door operation
