Hi everyone i think this topic is dead so i want to bring it back to life but i dont know how to post a picture. Maybe its an idea if you go further with this topic

Bordeaux, France.

They do not like to see overheid wires there, so in the city centre, the trams use a third rail between the tracks (the APS system). Outside the city centre, they shitch back to overheid wires. ;)

Glasgow underground FTW, the london one is nice too.

No. The power rail is divided into short sections. Only the sections directly under the tram are electrified; when the tram moves on, those sections are deactivated, and the next sections are turned on.
