I can't get metro sim to work on win 8

Update your direct x it may help

Search on google for the missing dll file, download it, and put it the MetroSimulator folder. Then you should be able to play.

Never download one dll file. You have to install the latest DriectX.

It could work with a single .dll file. The problem is that "bad guys" use this files a lot to spread malware and other bad stuff. Be safe and download the lastest DirectX version. You can find the official download link on the wikipage "getting started".
