Graphics card.

Post by Koppara »

My graphics card is this: geforce 6150se nforce 430, and the sim lags on it very much. I don't know anything about those and my computer is: The type have to be: PCI Express 2.1 x16
My processor is: ADM Athlon(tm) II 160u Processor 1.80GHz.

If someone knows a cheap one witch doesnt lag in the sim then can you tell me please? Thanks!

( I want to play with full quality )

That card is a low budget model from 2006, no wonder it's lagging a bit. I have the idea it's not just the videocard that is the problem though, the processor also doesn't sound very fast. For the current version, a Geforce 8800 may still work properly, although I cannot make any guarantees about the framerate. If you want to be able to run future versions, you should probably invest in the NVIDIA GeForce 400 series or ATI Radeon HD 5000 Series and later series, older series are probably not going to be supported by any new game coming out anyway as they are over 5 years old and do not support recent technologies anymore.

It would be supported, but being the cheapest model in this series I wouldn't expect much performance from it. Basically with videocards for every series you have a large range of models. They tend to have the same or nearly the same functionality, and amount of memory and clockspeed also doesn't differ a lot, but the number of cores and bandwidth differs hugely between the low budget models (as the 5450) and the high-end models (as the 5970). This can easily be a 1000% difference between the lowest and highest model in each series. How much power you need depends on how heavy the game is, but these days also on how big your screen is. Full HD requires a lot more from the vidocard then a 1600x900 resolution.
