trashcan simulator , pigeon simulator , simulator simulator, clock simulator, the list is endless
Re: Simvliet Network Expansion
Trolleybuses are yet possible to make in the simulator because their path can be a floating rail and a road as in real life, if you make buses, you will need to redo the complete game engine

Rail simulator will be a fitting name. Trams, metro and trains.
Re: Simvliet Network Expansion
Trolleybuses are not fixed to the wire, they have a steering wheel and are able to sway a lane to the left or right, for example to go to a bus stop that is located in a bay so traffic can go around it while passengers are boarding. Of course busses cannot overtake each other since there is only one set of wires, so if you are driving off duty you have to remember to not overtake your in-duty colleague

He had the same idea I had as a game mechanic though.

WW3 is at our doorstep. Gear up just in case. PROTECT THE METROS!
Re: Simvliet Network Expansion
The simulator itself sees not much difference between rails and roads....

But the steering wheel could be like a decoration and you only will need to accelerate or brake, and about the fixing: there could be a control like with the trains to make the pantograph up or downMichiel wrote: ↑05 Jul 2020, 16:39Trolleybuses are not fixed to the wire, they have a steering wheel and are able to sway a lane to the left or right, for example to go to a bus stop that is located in a bay so traffic can go around it while passengers are boarding. And the trolleypole would need to be made possible in the simulator.
Which then would also mean I'd have to make some updates to the Toronto add-on, as the CLRV and ALRV trams would need to be converted (I had to fit them with pantographs, as old-fashioned trolleys are not an option in the simulator), and the overhead wiring too (for example; overhead wire switches).
