Problem with MSB

Post by Lincoln »

So my own laptop broke down last month :(

Im currently on my moms laptop sometimes(Dont worry she gave me permission to occasionally play a game)

So i went to install MSB as i wanted to play it again. Everything normal. However when i start it up it starts normal up untill the point where the menu screen should appear where the program closed, I tried updating all things needed but to no solution. I reinstalled it many times but it just is stubborn.

It should be able to run MSB as it runs Euro truck simulator 2 at 50fps

Does anyone know a solution i could try soon?

As im currently on the laptop:

Intel Core I7-7500U 2.70GHZ
Intel HD Graphics 620
8gb ram
There is also a AMD Radeon R7 M440 inside but MSB does not pick that one up. When selecting cards it picks the intel. So i dont see issues.

DirectX version 12

Can anyone help me pinpoint a issue? I ruled out missing files as i have a friend who gave me 2 files that i saw missing but didnt help the issue.

Tried reinstalling several times but the problem just keeps persisting. Did i miss something? What could be missing that is recuired to run the sim?(The visuals thing is also present)

I tried that... Unfortunatly the issue is still present. :(

I dont think its a issue on the directX part as Euro Truck Simulator 2 that requires directX 11 does run on the laptop without any problems.

Ruling out:

DirectX=is fine

Microsoft Visuals:I updated that today just to be sure.

Missing files:Is not the case as the files i noticed missing i managed to get them and with them the game still crashes upon opening as described before by me.

Your internal Intel graphics is the problem as they're usually not suitable for gaming (like in my PC). Which Windows version are you using, so I can show you how to set MSB to pick the other graphics?

MSB doenst pickup the radeon and the intel is the only one, I cant imagine my moms laptop not being able to run it.

My own laptop that has a worse card runs the sim without problems tho.(I3-5005U 2.0GHZ with 4gb ram and a HD Graphics 5500 iirc)

I tried 3.9 aswell, menu screen opens but here it crashes without any message when selecting a route.

The thing is, Why would it run ETS2 if it wont run MSB. It also does not say that the hardware is too weak for MSB.

Before looking at the hardware i just want to be sure i did not miss anything. Im pretty sure i didnt but you can never be too sure.
