RIP 9000s: Virtual Transfers and Railtour

Post by iamhankhamTS »

Since I posted this quote, it seems that 9000s have becoming quite fun to play with

With RR-DDM sets entering service this month, 9014 has been taken to Bergensweg to be stripped for spares. Here are some images of her final run
Alas, I've come up with a list of all 20 units and their fate. 12 out of 20 will be sold to Simvliet. 9001 will be preserved. 4 units will be kept encase of events at the new Westplien stadium or if there is a lack of rolling stock on the Ypenburg route. 3 have been stripped for spares which has already taken place and @Michiel's private buyer has 9007. Whoever his agent might be.

9001 Sold - RRM
9002 Sold - Simvliet Railways
9003 Kept at RR for events
9004 Kept at RR for events
9005 Sold - Simvliet Railways
9006 Sold - Simvliet Railways
9007 Sold - Private owner
9008 Sold - Simvliet Railways
9009 Sold - Simvliet Railways
9010 Sold - Simvliet Railways
9011 Sold - Simvliet Railways
9012 Sold - Simvliet Railways
9013 Sold - Simvliet Railways
9014 Striped for spares
9015 Kept at RR for events
9016 Kept at RR for events
9017 Sold - Simvliet Railways
9018 Sold - Simvliet Railways
9019 Sold - Simvliet Railways
9020 Striped for spares

Anyways, where's the fun? The fun is that we need drivers to do stock moves.

For Simvliet transfers, we will transfer 2 units at a time using either 2 Locos or a 5700 set. All systems, including brakes, must been switched off on the 9000. 6 Drivers to volunteer please!

The private owner requests that his train be parked up at the depot just beyond Strandboulevard (so yes, we must wait). This will be driven as a normal train. 1 Driver to volunteer please!

Lastly, I need 1 driver to get 9001 to Transport Museum. Take 9001 on Line 1. You may need to do some shunting in the depot!

The following trains are due for transfer at these exact days.

9001 9/10/19
9002 26/9/19
9005 26/9/19
9006 5/10/19
9007 7/10/19 at 10:07
9008 5/10/19
9009 9/10/19
9010 9/10/19
9011 11/9/19
9012 11/9/19
9013 15/9/19
9017 15/9/19
9018 19/9/19 after railtour
9019 19/9/19 after railtour

I will drive the railtour under supervision of Citidas and Brozma between Rijndam Airport and Ypenburg with full return and under supervision of Virtual Gamer and Sjoerd himself from Rijndam Airport to Noordvliet and return to Rijndam Centraal. If possible, we can try it under voice chat using the Discord made by Dave.

I can take the 9001 to the museum.
May I drive the train itself? I think it still works...

There seems to have been some miscommunication, Simvliet is completely unaware that these trains were coming, so upon arrival they threw them into the river. To clarify, this is NOT a fault of the driver who delivered them and the train was delivered in one piece. It was caused by the local authorities refusing to sign the paperwork and the harbour master not wanting to pay for storage himself.
