Somewhere in the future, I think Waterloo's ION should be next. It involves converting the Flexity Outlook to the Flexity Freedom and some good-ol' North American Safetran equipment. To me, ION is unique as it is a streetcar/heavy rail mix. I found it funny how one moment, a simple tram rolls on the street with normal car traffic, then a second later it's flying past cars threw gated crossings on a freight line. It's funny to me because the rolling stock resembles a streetcar tram. Never seen a streetcar with that much priority in my life (Huntington PE Red Cars don't count).
