Release: RET 400/1000

Post by Sjoerd »

Release for Metrosimulator 3.14; the RET historic tram, motorcars series 400, and trailercars series 1000. :)

Release was intended for 3.15, but as that is still some time away and the model is already pretty good, I don't see a good reason to keep you waiting.
Perhaps 3.15 will include an improved version, but no guarantees on that.

One thing you should be aware of; the destination signs will only work in Rijndam 2022 Full version 1.1; As the other routes where released before the build of this tram started, they lack the files needed for this tram (as the destination signs/displays are route-specific). You can use the tram in other routes then Rijndam 2022 v1.1, but the destination signs will then stay black. ;)

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! It's finally out! Time to do some tests!
If you want to make a very fast ride, just disable ATB/ZUB, put trottle to 1.00 and enjoy.
In my Avatar is a Logo of a Prague metro.
Sorry for my bad English. I am Czech and i am learning English

Where does tram line 7 go?
The destination implies it's a circleline of some description; and is it related to those pictures of the tram tunnels earlier?

I had to finish the destination display before Rijndam 2022 v1.1 was released, as the texture file had to be part of the route folder structure. At that moment, I wanted to keep an option open to create an activity with a touristic line, to run besides the normal timetable. 'View the city from an historic tram'. With a route like CS - Blaak - Buitenvelden - CS. I haven't realized that idea, but the destination is available for it.
If you want to use it in an activity; the scrollsign code to put in the CTD on top of the route you are making is simply "7-Rondrit". ;)

(Of it were English, It would be "7 City Tour")

Would it be possible to electrify the museum line with overhead contact wires so we can use the trams their too?
This is now a dead account.

No; the tram doesn't fit well between the 3rd rails. And removing the 3rd rails would make it impossible for the MG2 to run the shuttleservice to Noordvliet. ;)

See the problem;

So let's just take it to the network and let it run on heritage line 10 :mrgreen:
