I have the feeling this has been addressed already, but can we use the BDs power car along with one 1700?

Yes, you can drive the BD's with the 1700 as power locomotive.

You still can! We do like this practice alot in the UK! It's called "Short Forming" and winds up commuters easily! :lol: :lol:
