"Mechanical issues" - the nightmare of all disruption reasons for anyone who has ever used the New York City Subway. The MTA uses this excuse for literally everything from a stuck door to brakes in emergency, so you actually never know what really happened, let alone being unable to figure out how long it could take them to fix it. I hope the RET uses a few more phrases for service disruptions.

Most of the time they state something among the lines of "Due to a broken down train a delay occured on line C. Keep an extra travel time of max. 10 minutes in mind."
