Pitch Black Tunnels

Post by Enviro400Taco »

Ok so whenever I enter a tunnel in the game, instead of it being slightly dark but with headlights, it is pitch black. I am also unable to turn the cabin lights and interior passenger lights on. If you are able to offer any support it will be much appreciated.

You probably have a videocard that does not support the lighting in the simulator.
No worries; when 3.14 comes out, it will have the option to turn dynamic lighting (and with it dark tunnels) off; that way, it will be like you have daylight even underground ;)

Obviously ;)

It’ll be like the tunnels in Beta 3.9

My guess would be yes; the computer does not have to calculate the effect of every single light anymore if you turn dynamic lights off.

That must be the case, my Graphics Card/Video Card is an AMD Radeon 6900 HD if it helps.

Probably; AMD graphics cards usually have issues with the simulator and specifically with dark tunnels etc.

*pre-GCN AMD cards seem to have this problem. Take the GPU out of your computer and run it on the CPU's iGPU or buy a Nvidia or newer AMD card.

Pre-CGN? What does CGN stands for?
If you want to make a very fast ride, just disable ATB/ZUB, put trottle to 1.00 and enjoy.
