Basically you run the train from, for example from the right side of the testtrack, and run it up to Ibrox or Govan and then use the switches between those 2 stations to get to another part of the testtrack. If that makes sense

Not really....MSB4THOMAS wrote: ↑28 Jun 2020, 14:46 Basically you run the train from, for example from the right side of the testtrack, and run it up to Ibrox or Govan and then use the switches between those 2 stations to get to another part of the testtrack. If that makes sense
Take a look at the track map. I have added the new tracks in blue.
As the video shows at 1:30 (https://youtu.be/h-zVfdqfxPI), the northern end of the test track was disconnected from the depot (and even if it was still connected; you couldn't enter the tunnels from there).
As you can see at 0:26, the southern end also offers no further connections.
At 0:50, it looks like the wooden fence between both tracks extends under the road bridge, so there'll be no switch under there.
Okay, latest theory, I think I found it out.... Jim2016 found this image:
It looks like the shadow of the wooden fence is interupted on the north side of the road bridge. A large enough gap for a switch between both tracks, but so close to the bridge, that the Google Streetview car did not get a good view of it (due to some irritating stone walls on the edge of the bridge ). But moving a bit off the bridge on Streetview..... I think that might just be a fragment of the switch I was searching for (not added on the track map above yet):

Re: Glasgow
I think the switch can be seen if you look carefully and it seems to be of the same direction as in the street view screenshot above

You can download Glasgow version 2, including the trains the SPT has in use right now, here (will work in Metrosimulator 3.15): http://sim.bemined.nl/wiki/Glasgow
What you see in screenshots now is current work for a new version.
