Re: Toronto TTC Flexity Outlook

Thanks! I am having a lot of fun (but also some frustration due to problems that sometimes take hours to solve) getting this tram to work and animating it. :D

Re: Toronto TTC Flexity Outlook

When the tram is released, activities using it will be provided along with it.

Re: Frequently asked questions (Read before starting new topic!)

Ah, thanks! I'd like to know how the map data are stored, and how the rails and switches are defined. For example, I have ever played and developed for a game called BVE Trainsim, which locates all the objects in the game according to a Main Rail(id:0) which the player's train can only travel on, a...

Re: Rijndam

Yes I think so. But the current idea is to release it as a 3.14 add-on first, so you don't have to wait for 3.15.
In order to do that, I will first need to make the add signs repaintable, and make some activities so you can use it in traffic.

Re: Toronto TTC Flexity Outlook

Yes, the pantograph is fully functional. And it 'll be most likely an add-on, so you don't have to wait for 3.15. But it will stil take some time; there is still a problem with the windows (which I can solve, but it is not easy), the driver door isn't placed yet, the windscreen wiper needs to be ani...

Re: Toronto TTC Flexity Outlook

Yes, it uses a concept that seems to be very popular with tram manufacturers lately; 3 2-axle fixed-truck sections, which support 2 'hovering' sections in between. Or put another way; three 2-axle tramcars with two long couplings in between  Which can be made longer by adding another fixed-tru...

Toronto TTC Flexity Outlook

From the Screenshots topic; Is that a Bombardier Flexity? (Like the trams in Toronto?) I say that because of the headlights. Yes! You have guessed it :D I am working on a new tram. A Bomdardier Flexity Outlook tram, as build for the Canadian city Toronto. The original Sketchup model was build by Jac...

Re: Rijndam

I have considered multiple idea's to build that turning loop. Doing it in front of the station building (starting from the 'old' tram platforms) did not work out; the turns would be too tight, or I would have to remove houses/buildings to make room. I also considered doing a larger loop, like I did ...
