I have the train bouncing off the other, it is certainly rolling with power off. Why could this be happening, is my train not attractive enough?

I am having an issue with coupling. I have Work wagons that I am trying to couple to type M 1982 stock. I roll slowly into the stock in realistic mode, however on contact (at about 3 km/h) the train bounces off! I can create the consist and the trains will remain together however I cannot get a Loc+...
